If you are a new member without an HI and wish to acquire one you must -

• • • Complete three full rounds on the Hamilton course
    • Have your score attested by a B&MGC member after playing with them
    • Put the cards in the Communications Box below the notice board in the back corridor.

 The Match and Handicap Committee will assess the cards and award you an interim HI.

 Your handicap will appear on the Golf Ireland app and you should continue to play in competitions to attain an accredited HI. Until you complete 20 competition cards your HI is apportioned across the cards returned.

A minimum of eight competition cards (not including HI application card) must be returned before you can win any club competition prizes.

If you have joined B&MGC from another club and already have a HI the Hon Secretary will get in touch with your previous club to initiate the HI transfer.

When you arrive to play, go into the shop and go to the computer terminal to the left of the till

Type in your name and the competitions screen will come up

Tap the competition you wish to enter and your details will be shown on the screen,
tap enter.
A label will be printed behind the counter and a member of shop staff will apply it to a score card and take your entry fee. (Two’s are a separate competition run by the shop).

On completion of your round, go to the terminal in the back corridor and enter your name, the various competitions will be shown and tap the one you entered.

The scorecard will show and enter the scores for your front 9, if the details are correct tap accept and repeat the process for the back 9.

Make sure your card is signed by a playing partner (also print their name) and yourself and put it in the box to the right of the screen in the appropriate slot.

If you are lucky enough to win a prize in any of the club competitions, your prize money will be added to your club account and paid out in Golf Ireland vouchers. Your balance can be viewed under ‘Competition Balance’ on your V1 hub.

Golf Ireland Vouchers will be issued to you on request to council, min value £25, and once £150 is reached in your account a voucher will be issued automatically.

Where you can spend your vouchers

They are accepted in most golf stores however, The Blackwood Golf Centre gives you an additional 10% of the voucher value if you lodge it with them.

Any other retailer who will accept the voucher.

The details on the voucher need completed by you and the vendor and they return it to B&MGC for payment. The balance of any spend, over the voucher value, is your responsibility.

2's Competition
If you have entered in the, shop run, 2’s competition your prize will be added to your shop account with them and your balance will be shown in your monthly statement from them.
