The third is the longest of the par 3s, which can tempt many golfers into reaching for the driver. However, don’t be drawn into chasing distance - finishing the hole with a three is an excellent result.

The key is to commit to a solid, straight shot. Find the green and give yourself a realistic chance of making par. Be particularly mindful of the left-hand side, where a significant downhill slope can feed the ball away from the putting surface. Missing left can leave a difficult recovery and make saving par a real challenge.

Take enough club to reach the green comfortably, commit to your target, and favour the safe side. A par here is a score worth taking.
